From a young age, I dreamed of becoming an actress, but my strong-willed mother, a woman of wisdom and conviction, insisted I pursue my education first. It was my beloved Aunt Carmen Cortez, a salon owner and lifelong role model, who first opened the door to the beauty world. I still remember the moment she handed me my first lipstick. She invited me to wash hair in her salon and showed me firsthand how beauty and fashion could spark bold confidence in a woman.

That early spark led to divine opportunities, including working with luxury brands like Dior while still in college. I quickly discovered that beauty wasn’t just an art, it was a calling. With a degree in education, I went on to spend seven incredible years teaching, mentoring, and planning events for students; all while building my side business in makeup. That journey brought me to Macy’s, into classrooms for beauty training, and eventually into the glam rooms of celebrities.

But one of my greatest roles is being a mother. Balancing business, beauty, and motherhood has taught me resilience, purpose, and grace — and it’s deepened the way I serve women through this brand. I know what it means to pour into others while still honoring yourself.

Now, with over 30 years of experience in the beauty industry, I bring it all together through BEC Glamour, my soul-led, purpose-driven brand. My mission is to help every woman see herself as God sees her: radiant, powerful, and one-of-a-kind.
